When it was first revealed and announced, i was like “huh, it looks nice but seems like another those generic third-person shooter game sets in post apocalyptic world.” Oh, how wrong i was, this game totally blew me away. The visual, especially the landscape, they’re just…magical (no wonder it comes with the function to take in game photos). The story is well written, themed with prejudice, racial differences, gender superiority, faith and existence. A cut scene at the start of the game touched me deeply (i almost i cry).
Horizon Zero Dawn opens slowly but with solid story progression and gameplay. But once you’ve reached further in, the actions heat up into a fast-paced third person shooter rpg, locked in a mortal combat with the machines. Horizon Zero Dawn’s world is a sprawling and lush open world just begging to be explored. Horizon’s world feels so alive, it just teeming with life and as you travel across the majestic landscape you’ll hear cacophonies of nature sounds. In Horizon Zero Dawn, you’ll assume the role of a female hunter, Aloy in a search for the truth of her life. Equipped with a bow, a quiver of arrows and a spear you’ll journey across the vast land while kicking asses of both men and machines.
Horizon Zero Dawn is one of those games that you must have in your arsenal. It is a masterpiece.
When it was first announced, gamers debated whether this a stand alone or a DLC for Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End. It was finally revealed its a stand alone adventure, a new and side installment in Uncharted series. The game setting takes place after the events of Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, is packed with beautiful new vistas to be explored, gun and fist fights, and of course, as expected from Uncharted series, memorable characters. Before getting yourself into this new adventure by Naughty Dog, you must first play and experience their previous epic adventures. Though, because of that you may find Uncharted: Lost Legacy is mediocre compared to epic and grand events happened before it.
If you play and experience the other Uncharted games beforehand you feel all too familiar with climbing the mossy or crumbling wall, and shoot outs with a bunch of mindless armed men it feels as if it all taken out directly from the previous and put into this game. The game is overall good but there’s nothing new to it. If you’re looking for some good action game packed together in bundle with puzzle solving and well written story, look no further.
After years of wait, hype and anticipation, the latest installment in Persona series was finally released back in September 2016. The game immediately became a hit, tagged and labeled as JRPG masterpiece for this generation. Sold over 1 million copies and topping the chart for quite a while. This masterpiece by Atlus seamlessly blends together art, and video game. Person 5 portrays confident, bold, rebellious, and highly energetic art through the combination of black and red colours . You will be playing as highschooler who will be starting a new life in the ever busy and bustling Tokyo, somehow you find yourself entangled in series of supernatural occurrences that plaguing the city and made leader for a group called The Phantom Thieves.
The game is a successful hybrid of simulation and JRPG, meaning you get to experience the best of both worlds. During the day, you’ll attend school and classes, answer questions asked by your teachers. You can choose how to spend your after school hours: be it socializing with your friends, work in a store as a part timer or kick some monster ass in mysterious dungeons known as Palaces and Mementos. The sequel to cult-hit Nier return with new gameplay style and even more ambiguous story with multiple endings each connected to one another. The combat style changes from moment to moment, sometimes its a hack-and-slash, sometimes its a side scrolling shoot, ’em, sometimes an RPG, sometimes a brawler, or even a text RPG. Whatever the form it takes the game presents more than 30 hours of dazzling action, set in desolate but stunning post-apocalyptic landscape where green ivies snaked around derelict skyscrapers.
In Nier: Automata, you take the role of 2B, a female android and humanity’s last hope, wearing frilly black dress while cutting and slashing otherworldly enemies. But 2B is not alone in this endeavour, she has companionship of a male android, 9S. The game combines high-octane combat and great narrative.
